Creating Product Catalog

After the Onboarding process is complete, the seller will need to add product listings to sell the products on Amazon. This can be done by creating a product catalog.

Listings

A Listing is the product information page for the items that are sold on Amazon. It will contain all the important product details like name, description, price, pictures etc. A seller can list products on Amazon by either listing them individually (single) or listing them in bulk. The seller can list new products (not sold previously on Amazon) or match the products to an existing product listing.

Listing TypeDescription
Single ListingsIf you want to add a single product or add products one at a time, you need to do a Single listing

Bulk ListingsIf you want to add multiple products in one go, you will need to do a bulk listing

note

The steps for cataloging are the same for the Easy Ship Multi Location Fulfilment and the SmartConnect program. The difference is in the order fulfilment process. For more information on comparison between ES-MLF and SmartConnect, refer

note
  • Self-ship and Standard Easy Ship option will be disabled completely once a seller opts for 'Only Easy Ship' in the seller central panel for MLF onboarding.
  • All the sites going live through MLF will be live using Merchant Fulfilled Listings on Amazon.
  • All the sites going live through SmartConnect will be using FBA listings on Amazon.
  • Brands going live on Hybrid Model (both SmartConnect and MLF) will have to maintain two different listings under the same account. They can latch onto the same ASIN but use different seller SKUs/EANs.

Understanding why Listing Failed

All the required product information must be filled while uploading the listing file, the file with incomplete details will be rejected. If the listing file was uploaded without the main image, the listing will be suppressed/rejected. For more information, visit Suppressed Listings

Turnaround Time

The turnaround time (time taken for the listing to go live) depends on the products and can be from 24 hours to a few days.
