Using Abandoned Cart Alerts Extension

Introduction

Abandoned Cart Alerts extension helps you recover lost sales by recovering carts abandoned by customers. Using this extension you can send emails and discount coupons to customers who have added products to their cart but never placed an order.


Steps to use Abandoned Cart Alerts Extension

  1. Go to Extensions in Fynd Platform.

  2. Click Abandoned Cart Alerts extension.

    Once you have installed this extension, it will be available in the list here.

  3. Select desired sales channel. Here, we have selected 'DKLS Fynd Store'.

In the upcoming sections, you'll learn more about various features available in Abandoned Cart Alerts extension.


Configure

note

A cart is considered abandoned if item(s) have been added to it for 12 hours or more. If the cart is updated within that time period, the 12-hour clock will reset.

Use this feature to set up general settings and email notifications for abandoned carts.

  • Send Notification To Customers - Select option to send notifications to customers for the carts abandoned in the last 24 hrs, 48 hrs, or 72 hrs.

  • Choose Frequency - Choose frequency of email notifications. If you select thrice, an email notification will be sent to customers three times a day.

  • Choose Interval - If you select 6 hours, an email notification will be triggered every 6 hours from the time when the first notification was sent.

  • Choose Start Time - Choose a time of the day at which email notification will be sent to the customers. For e.g., if you select 09:00, your first email will be sent at 09:00 AM.

  • Choose Notification Type - You can select either Reminder without coupons or Reminder with coupons.

    • Reminder without coupons - Select this option if you want to send email notifications without any coupons.

    • Reminder with coupons - Select this option if you want to send email notifications with coupons attached.

      Here, we have selected Reminder with coupons option.

  • Add New Coupon - Click this option to create a new coupon.

  • Coupon Name - Enter suitable name for your coupon. For e.g., FYNDFEST.
  • Discount Percentage - Enter the value that defines the percentage discount of the coupon.
  • Max. Discount Amount - Enter the maximum amount of discount available for the coupon.
  • Min. Cart Value - Enter the minimum amount for cart value to avail the coupon.

  • How to redeem a coupon - Enter detailed steps to redeem a coupon.
  • Terms & Conditions - Define terms and conditions that commonly apply to this coupon.
  • Submit - Upon clicking this button, your coupon will be created. Now, you can select this coupon from the dropdown.

You can also create coupon using Abandoned Cart Coupons feature present on the homepage of this extension by following the same steps explained above.

  • Save - Upon clicking this button, your configuration will be saved.

Email Notification

  • Choose Template - Select a suitable template from the dropdown.
  • Primary Font - Select a font style which will be applied to all the major elements of your email.
  • Secondary Font - Select a font style which will be applied to all the secondary elements of your email.
  • Theme Colour - Select suitable colour to fill background of the button elements.

  • Provider Name - Select a provider from the dropdown.

Click here to learn how to set up a provider for your sales channel in Fynd Platform. If you do not have a provider configured in your sales channel then a default provider will be chosen to send email notifications to customers.

  • Heading - Provide suitable title for email that you wish to send to customers.
  • Subheading - Provide suitable subtitle for email.
  • Subject - Enter a text that you'll always keep common in the subject line of every email. For e.g., Hello Jon, You forgot items in your cart.

  • Save - Upon clicking this button, your configuration will be saved.

Analytics

Use this feature to track and analyse valuable data of abandoned carts. Also, view and download details for abandoned carts and email notifications.

Available Parameters

  • Total Abandoned Carts - It represents the total number of abandoned carts.
  • Unique Emails Sent - It represents the number of users who received email notifications for abandoned carts.
  • Revenue Redeemed - It represents the total amount of rupees collected after selling various coupons.
  • Abandoned Cart Total Value - It represents the total amount of rupees of all the abandoned carts on your website.

Abandoned Cart

  1. View the details of abandoned carts for the selected time period. Also, you can click the individual entry to view more details of the abandoned cart of the customer.

  2. Click Export if you wish to download the abandoned cart details for your perusal.

Email Notification

  1. View the details of email notifications sent within the selected time period. This table contains the details of both with or without coupon email alerts.

  2. Click Export if you wish to download the details regarding abandoned cart email alerts.

Activating/Deactivating Abandoned Cart Coupons

  1. Go to Abandoned Cart Coupons feature present on the homepage of this extension.

  2. Open the desired coupon that you wish to deactivate.

  3. Turn OFF the toggle button to deactivate the coupon for sales channel.

caution

The coupons created in this extension also reflect in the Coupons section (Platform Panel >> Sales Channel >> Marketing >> Coupons) of the respective sales channel. Enabling/disabling, editing, or deleting them from the sales channel affects the coupons generated in this extension, and vice versa. Also, it impacts the coupons sent over email through this extension.


Activating/Deactivating Abandoned Cart Alerts

  1. Go to Configure feature present on the homepage of this extension.

  2. Turn ON the toggle button to activate abandoned cart alerts for sales channel (Refer Figure 22).

  3. Click Save.

Final Output

Your customers will start receiving email alerts for their abandoned carts.
