Partial Update of Primary Identifier-related Attributes
Adding a Secondary Identifier
Sample Scenario:
You created a product having a primary identifier; where GTIN Type = EAN and GTIN Value = 1000000000111. Now, you wish to add a secondary identifier; say GTIN Type = SKU and GTIN Value = BLU-SOF-101.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- GTIN Type
- GTIN Value
- Seller Identifier
- Command
Format:
Steps:
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Add another row below the seller identifiers to which you wish to add a secondary identifier.
- Enter the secondary GTIN type and values.
- Repeat the primary identifier in the Seller Identifier column.
- Make sure to enter
Update
in the Command column. - Save the file and import your file.
Deleting a Secondary Identifier
Sample Scenario:
There’s a product having a primary identifier and a secondary identifier, but now you wish to delete the secondary identifier. Let’s say, primary identifier has GTIN Type = EAN and GTIN Value = 1000000000111. Secondary identifier has GTIN Type = SKU and GTIN Value = BLU-SOF-101.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- GTIN Type
- GTIN Value
- Seller Identifier
- Command
Format:
Steps:
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Keep the row containing the article (product-size) that has a primary identifier.
- Delete the row containing the secondary identifier.
- Make sure to enter
Update
in the Command column. - Save the file and import your file.
Updating Prices
Sample Scenario: There’s a product having Actual Price (MRP) = ₹1000 and Selling Price (ESP) = ₹700. But the market conditions have led to inflated costs, and now you wish that the Actual Price (MRP) be ₹1200 and Selling Price (ESP) be ₹800.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- Seller Identifier
- Actual Price
- Selling Price
- Command
Format:
Steps:
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the updated prices in the respective columns.
- Make sure to enter
Update
in the Command column. - Save the file and import your file.
If you wish to update only the actual price, you need not include the selling price column and vice-versa in the Excel file.
Actual Price in the product cannot be less than the highest actual price you defined in the product's inventory. Click here to know more.
Reordering of Sizes
Merchants can change the order of the sizes according to their preferences to ensure that the order of the sizes appear as they want.
Do the following steps to update the order of sizes:

Navigate to the product whose size order you need to change.

Go to the Sizes section.

Click and hold the drag icon next to the size you need to move.

Drag the size to its new position in the list.

Release the mouse button to drop the size into its new position.

Click Save.
Reordering of Sizes in Bulk
This bulk update feature of size reordering allows you to prioritize certain sizes by placing them at the top of the size list. Use the Size Reorder command within the bulk upload template file in the Command column to facilitate bulk updates of size order.
Do the following steps to update the order of sizes in bulk:
- Export your products to get the data on the concerned products in Microsoft Excel sheet. Refer to Export Product for more details.
- Delete all the columns except the following:
- Item Code
- Brand
- Seller Identifier
- Delete the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Make sure to enter Size Reorder in the Command column.

Sizes not included in the bulk upload will automatically move to the end of the list but will retain their original order relative to each other.
- Save and import your file. Refer to Import Product for more details.
For example, if the current sequence of sizes is XSS, L, M, XL, S, XXL, and XLS. You have uploaded the bulk upload file with the sizes in the following order: M, L, XL, and XSS. The updated size order is M, L, XL, XSS, S, XXL, and XLS. In this updated sequence, sizes not listed in the bulk upload file (S, XXL, and XLS) will move at the end, maintaining their existing sequence.
Deleting a Size
Sample Scenario: There’s a product have sizes S, M, L, XL . However, manufacturing of XL size was discontinued due to low sales. Now you wish to delete XL size from the product.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- Item Code
- Brand
- Seller Identifier
- Command
Format:

- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the item code, brand, and the seller identifier (of the size you wish to delete) in the respective columns.
- Make sure to enter

Updating the Packaging Dimensions
Sample Scenario: There’s a product for which you generally use a larger packaging box. However, you have decided to optimise costs and use a compact packaging henceforth. Now you wish to update the volumetric data of the smaller packaging in the product file.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- Seller Identifier
- Length
- Width
- Height
- Weight
- Command
Format:
Steps:
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the updated volumetric data in the respective columns.
- Make sure to enter

in the Command column. - Save the file and import your file.
If you wish to update only one attribute, say length, you need not include other columns for width, height, and weight in the Excel file.
Updating Made-To-Order (MTO) Product Settings in Bulk
Merchants can update Made-To-Order (MTO) product settings directly through bulk uploads in the product catalog, eliminating the need to manually update each product one by one.
Columns required in the Excel sheet:
- Item Code
- Brand
- Manufacturing Time
- Manufacturing Time Unit
- Command
Sample Scenario: Converting MTO Products to Non-MTO
A merchant wants to update several products from Made-To-Order (MTO) to Non-MTO. By updating the Manufacturing Time field to 0 and selecting a Manufacturing Time Unit (either hours or days) in the bulk upload sheet, the products will automatically be converted to Non-MTO product.

- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier in the figure.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the item code and brand.
- Update the Manufacturing Time field to 0 and selecting a Manufacturing Time Unit (either hours or days).
- Make sure to enter

Sample Scenario: Updating Manufacturing Time for MTO Products
A merchant needs to update the manufacturing time for a list of MTO products. They can use the bulk upload feature to update the manufacturing time directly. By specifying the new Manufacturing Time and the appropriate Unit (hours/days) in the bulk upload file, the changes are applied to all selected products at once.
Steps
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier in the figure.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the item code and brand.
- Update the Manufacturing Time field to 8 (any number greater than zero) and selecting a Manufacturing Time Unit ( hours or days).

Updating Tags, Highlights and Multi-Valued Attributes with Bulk Import
To add or remove product tags, highlights and multi-value product attributes in bulk within the catalogue follow the instructions given below:

- Highlights
- Tags
- Command
Steps
- Export your products to get the concerned products' data in an Excel sheet.
- Delete all the columns except the ones we mentioned earlier in the figure.
- Delete all the rows except the products you wish to modify.
- Add a new column with a header named Command.
- Enter the item code, brand, highlights, tags, and command (if you want, you can add or remove both tags and highlight or use both).
- Make sure to enter

In addition to tags and highlights, product attributes with multiple values can also be added or removed in bulk. To do so, add the product attributes in the template.
