Newsletter Subscription

Introduction

A newsletter subscription extension allows you to connect with website visitors and grow your audience by adding special offers or discounts. Customize the pop-up appearance to complement your website and control how it appears.


Steps to use Newsletter Subscription Extension

  1. Go to Extensions section in the Fynd Platform.

  1. Click Newsletter Subscription Extensions.

Once you have installed this extension, it will be available in the Extensions section on the Fynd Platform.

  1. Select desired sales channel. Here, we have selected shubham.

  1. Click Manage Newsletter.

  1. Click Create New after the list of newsletters screen appear on the screen.

  1. Click Save after entering the name for your newsletter.

  1. Create New Newsletter window will open. We have four configuration steps to set up a newsletter.

    1. Customise Design
    2. Global Settings
    3. Success Message
    4. Setup Email

In the upcoming sections, you'll learn to configure the entire Newsletter Subscription pop-up.

Customise Design

Appearance

In the appearance setting, we have four types of layout options. We will learn about all the appearance options and their configuration settings in detail.

  1. Center Modal: Center align your Newsletter pop-up with the "Center Modal" option for optimal visibility.

    1. Orientation: Choose between Portrait or Landscape orientation for your newsletter.
    2. Choose Alignment: Select alignment alignment of the image based on the orientation chosen.
    3. Image: Show/Hide Image, toggle the option to display or hide an image in the newsletter.
    4. Click on the image to upload a suitable image that will be visible on the newsletter subscription pop-up.

  1. Side Bar: By selecting this appearance option, the Newsletter pop-up will be displayed on either the left or right side of the screen.

    1. Background Image: Toggle the option to display or hide the background image in your newsletter.
    2. Click on the image, to upload a suitable image for the background.
    3. Alignment: Select the appropriate alignment - left or right - for your sidebar pop-up.

  1. Entire Page: By selecting this appearance option, the Newsletter pop-up will cover the entire home page screen for maximum visibility.

    1. Background Image: You have the option to enable or disable the background image in the newsletter subscription pop-up.
    2. Click on the image, to upload a suitable image for the background.
    3. Foreground Image: You also have the option to enable or disable the foreground image in the newsletter subscription pop-up.
    4. Click on the image, to upload a suitable image for the foreground.
    5. Alignment: Select the suitable alignment - left or right - for your sidebar pop-up.

  1. Corner Page: This appearance option allows the newsletter pop-up to be displayed in either the bottom left or bottom right corner of the home page.

    1. Background Image: You have the option to show or hide the image in the background of the newsletter by toggling it on or off.
    2. Click on the image, to upload a suitable image for the background.
    3. Alignment: Choose the appropriate alignment for the newsletter pop-up - left bottom corner or right bottom corner.

  1. Primary Colour: Choose a colour that you want to use for all the elements of the newsletter, including buttons and text. Your primary colour will be taken from the theme's primary button colour by default (Recommended). But you can still change it to the colour you like.
  2. Secondary Colour: Select a colour that you want to use for the background of the newsletter pop-up.
  3. Font Size: Select an appropriate font size for the content of your newsletter.
  4. Corner Radius: Increase or decrease the corner radius of the newsletter pop-up buttons and text field.
  5. Font Style: The font style from your website's theme will be applied by default. However, if you prefer, you can choose a different font to override the default one.
  6. Heading Text: Provide a suitable heading for your newsletter subscription pop-up. For e.g., 'Subscribe to our newsletter'.
  7. Body Text: Enter appropriate content for the body text of your newsletter subscription pop-up.

  1. Primary Button Text: Enter suitable text for the primary button. For instance, 'Subscribe' or 'Sign Up'.
  2. Secondary Button Text: Enter the appropriate text for the secondary button. For example, 'No, thanks' or 'Remind me later'.

  1. Enable Auto Close: Toggle this option on to automatically close the newsletter pop-up after 15 seconds.
  2. Display setting: Select your suitable display type - Pop-up or Custom Styling. Select “Custom styling“ option, to access our API, allowing you to modify and personalize the newsletter display to align with your brand's aesthetic.
  3. Delay (in seconds): Select a delay timer for the newsletter pop-up to appear after the first page load for any visitor on the website.
  4. Animation Speed: Select the desired playback speed for the chosen animation.
  5. Animation Type: Select the desired animation type from the drop-down.
  6. Where to Show: Check the platforms where you want to make your Newsletter pop-up available.
  7. Display again after - Choose the frequency at which you want the newsletter pop-up to reappear for the same user after they close it.

Success Message

To customize the success screen of your newsletter subscription pop-up, follow these steps:

  1. Heading Text: Choose a suitable heading for the success screen. This is the text that will appear at the top of the screen after a user has successfully subscribed to your newsletter.
  2. Body Text: Choose a suitable body text for the success screen. This is the text that will appear below the heading on the success screen.
  3. Button Text: Choose a suitable button text for the success screen. This is the text that will appear on the button that users can click to close the success screen.

Setup Email

To set up and configure an email template, please follow the steps below:

  1. In the setup email, click on the "Create Template" option.

  1. From the given options, select a suitable template or customize your own template from scratch.

  2. After selecting the template, Click "Continue" button to proceed.

  3. You will then see the Create Template screen, which includes the following fields:

    1. Template: Enter a name for your template that helps you identify it easily.
    2. Open Editor: To customize your email template, click the "Open Editor" button and access the available configuration options. It's essential to include your brand logo and store name to ensure brand consistency.
    3. Subject: Provide a clear and concise subject line for your email.
    4. Choose Default Provider: Select your email service provider from the drop-down. By default, the Fynd platform provider is selected. However, you can also add and use a custom provider if needed.

  1. Click Save.

You have the option to create a custom design for your newsletter using the Create Custom Design feature. Follow the steps below to create and customize the design:

  1. Click on Create Custom Design.
  2. On the Create Template page, click Open Editor to start creating your newsletter template using drag and drop feature. To learn how to use the Editor, Click here.
  3. After customizing your template, click on Save.
  4. You will be redirected back to the Create Template window.
  5. Enter a suitable name for your template, subject and choose desired provider.
  6. Click Save to complete the process.

Activate/Deactivate Email Template

  1. To Activate or Deactivate Email notification on Subscribe, you need to toggle the button shown in the image above to on or off respectively.
  2. To Activate or Deactivate default email template, you need to toggle the button shown in the image above to on or off respectively.
note

You can set only one newsletter pop-up template as the default template at a time.

Publish/Unpublish Newsletter Subscription Extension

Publish

Once you've completed the document configuration, you can choose to either Save or Publish it.

  • Save: Select Save to save the configuration as a draft, which can be activated or published at a later time.
  • Publish: Choose Publish to make the selected newsletter live and available to users visiting the storefront.

Unpublish or Deactivate

  • To deactivate the Newsletter Subscription extensions toggling off the global toggle button (shown in the image above), which will make them unavailable for everyone.

Manage Data

The Manage Data feature is an essential tool that helps you to manage and analyse the data collected from your newsletter subscribers. With this feature, you can easily view and organize your subscriber data, including their contact information, and other relevant data. You can use this information to gain insights into your audience and understand their behaviour, interests, and preferences.

The Manage Data feature allows you to access and analyse the following information related to your newsletter subscribers:

  1. Total number of unique subscribers who have signed up for your newsletter.
  2. Total number of visitors who ignored or closed the newsletter pop-up without subscribing.
  3. View and export the history of newsletter subscriptions.
  4. Sort the data by newsletter name, email address, and date range for easy analysis.

analyse the collected data to gain valuable insights about your audience and enhance your marketing strategies accordingly. You can also export the data and add it to your core audience list to send regular communications.
