Creating a Basic Discount

How to access on Fynd Platform

Here you can specify the percentage discount you want to apply on your products. The products could belong to one or more brands, sold at one or more selling locations, across one or more sales channels.

Steps To Create A Basic Discount

Step 1: Enter the name of the discount along with its validity, i.e., the start date & time and end date & time. Next, select Basic Discount under Discount Type.

Step 2: (Mandatory) Select the sales channel (websites and marketplaces) from the drop-down menu as shown in fig. 2.

Step 3: (Optional) You can choose one or more selling locations where the products will be discounted. If you don't select any, the default option will be All, which means discounts will apply to products sold at all the selling locations of your company.

Step 4: (Optional) Choose the brand name. You can either choose to apply the discounts on all brands or anyone from the drop-down. If you don't select any, the default option will be All, which means discounts will apply to products belonging to all the brands of your company.

Step 5: (Optional) Choose the delivery zone where the products will be discounted. If you don't select any, the default option will be All, which means discounts will apply to products sold at all the delivery zones of your company.

Step 6: Click Create at the top-right corner as shown above in fig. 2. You have successfully created a discount and it will be visible under the Active tab.

Adding Discount Timer

Discount Countdown timers creates a sense of urgency by displaying a time limit for discounts, encouraging users to make faster purchase decisions. These timers can be configured at the discount level, making promotions more enticing and time-sensitive for customers.

Steps to perform

  1. Login to Fynd Platform.
  2. Go to Products.
  3. Click Discount.
  4. Click Create Discount.
  5. Choose the discount type and fill in the required fields.
  6. Go to Discount Configuration.
  7. Enter Discount Name.
  8. Select Start Date & Time.
  9. Select End Date & Time.
  10. Locate the Discount Period option.
  11. Check to enable it.
  12. Enter the timer duration.
    • A section will expand, You can enter the number of hours for the countdown to run before it ends.
  13. Enter remaining details.
  14. Click Save.

Output

As shown in the below image, a 40% discount is applied to products belonging to the applicable brand on the applicable sales channel (chosen at the time of creating the discount).

caution

Overlapping of discounts wouldn’t be allowed if one discount is LIVE and already applied to the eligible products. You can set the discount range anywhere between 1 to 95% (depending upon the brand).

There is an enable/disable toggle button that will allow you to activate or deactivate the discount as per your needs.
