Applicable On Dropdown

A crucial part of coupon creation is deciding where the coupon should apply. This is done via the Applicable On section, which includes a dropdown allowing you to specify where the coupon can be used. This dropdown contains several options, such as:

  • Category
  • Brand
  • Seller
  • Stores
  • Collection
  • Exclude Brands
  • All Products

How the Applicable On Dropdown Works

  • If ‘Category’ is selected: You will be prompted to choose specific categories from a second dropdown (e.g., Electronics, Fashion).
  • If ‘Brand’ is selected: A second dropdown will appear allowing you to select the specific brands on which the coupon will be applicable.
  • If ‘Seller’ is selected: A list of sellers will appear, and you can choose one or multiple sellers.
  • If ‘Stores’ is selected: You can select from your network of stores where the coupon will be active.
  • If ‘Collection’ is selected: You can choose specific product collections to which the coupon will apply.
  • If ‘Exclude Brands’ is selected: You can exclude certain brands from the discount.
  • If ‘All Products’ is selected: The coupon will apply to all products, and no second dropdown will appear.

Filling the Restrictions

In the Restrictions section, you can further control how the coupon can be used by setting limits on usage, prices, and user eligibility.

  • Max Uses: Define the maximum number of times the coupon can be used by all users.
  • Min Item Price: Set a minimum item price for which the coupon will be valid.
  • Max Item Price: Set a maximum price limit for eligible items.

User-Specific Restrictions

  • You can apply the coupon to Registered Users, Guest Users, or a specific User Group.
  • Choose the option that best fits your customer segment.
  • You can also limit the maximum usage per customer.

Other Restrictions

  • Show on Coupon List: Whether to display this coupon on the Offers & Coupons section on the cart page.
  • Allow Order Return: Decide if items purchased with the coupon can be returned.
  • Allow Order Cancellation: Decide if orders with applied coupons can be canceled.

Bank Options

  • In the Bank Options field, you will find a dropdown containing all the available Modes of Payment (MOPs) configured for the specific sales channel where the coupon is being created.
  • This dropdown will include a checkbox beside each MOP, allowing you to select multiple payment methods (e.g., Net Banking, Credit Card, etc.) that will be applicable for the coupon.

How to configure:

  1. Click on the Bank Options dropdown.
  2. Select one or more MOPs by checking the boxes beside the relevant options.
  3. The coupon will then be restricted to the selected payment modes.

Ordering Stores

  • The Ordering Store dropdown lets you specify the stores where the coupon can be applied. This option is available when the deployment store option is enabled for your platform.
  • When clicked, the dropdown will display a list of available ordering channels (stores), with checkboxes next to each store name.
  • You can select one or more stores where the coupon will be valid.

How to configure:

  1. Click on the Ordering Store dropdown.
  2. Select the relevant stores by checking the boxes next to their names.
  3. The coupon will then apply only to orders placed through the selected stores.

Scheduling the Coupon

The Fynd Commerce Platform provides two scheduling options for the coupon:

  1. Live Now: Select this, if you want the coupon to be activated immediately upon creation.
    1. Enter the last date of the coupon.
  2. Schedule Later: This allows you to set a specific start time and end time for when the coupon will go live and expire.

In addition to basic scheduling, the platform offers Advanced Settings that allow for more detailed scheduling options based on minute, hour, day of the month, month, and day of the week.

Steps for Advanced Scheduling

  1. Check Advance Settings to enable it.

  2. Select Schedule Later: If you want the coupon to go live at a specific time in the future.

    1. Set the Start Time and End Time.
  3. Enable Advanced Settings:

    1. Check the box for Advanced Setting to access more granular scheduling controls.
  4. Configuring Time Intervals:

    1. You can control how frequently the coupon should be applied or go live using the following options:
      1. Minute: Choose if the coupon will be active at specific intervals by the minute.
      2. Hour: Specify the hours during which the coupon will be active.
      3. Date of Month: Set the days of the month (e.g., 1st, 15th) when the coupon should be valid.
      4. Month: Choose specific months for coupon availability.
      5. Day of the Week: Restrict the coupon to specific days of the week (e.g., only on Fridays).
  5. Predefined Intervals:

    1. You can choose Every Minute for the coupon to apply at all times, or select Custom to define more specific intervals for the coupon's validity.

Custom Timing

You can enter custom values into the fields to design the coupon's activation and expiration intervals precisely. This is useful for flash sales, weekend offers, or other time-sensitive promotions.

Duration

You can set the Duration (in minutes) that the coupon will remain live for, ensuring that it is automatically deactivated after the specified time.

Saving and Finalizing a Coupon

Once you've fully configured your coupon and set all necessary details—such as scheduling, restrictions, and user-specific settings—there are a few final steps to save or submit your coupon for approval. Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Save as Draft:
If you're not ready to finalize your coupon yet, you can choose to Save as Draft. This allows you to keep your work without making the coupon live. You can revisit the draft later to make further edits or finalize it when you're ready.

  2. Send for Review:
If your organization requires a review process, you will send your coupon for review by clicking Send for Review. Once submitted for review, you will no longer be able to edit the coupon until it is either approved or rejected by the reviewer.

  3. Create:
If you have the necessary permissions, or if no review process is required, you can click Create to finalize and activate the coupon. The coupon will go live according to the schedule you've set, or immediately if no specific schedule is defined.

  4. Three Dots (More Options):
Next to the Create button, you'll see a three-dots menu. This gives you a couple of additional options:

    • Preview: Select this option to see how the coupon is configured before finalizing it. This can help ensure everything is set up correctly before making the coupon live.
    • Clone: If you want to create similar coupons with slight variations, you can use the Clone option. This duplicates the coupon, allowing you to adjust a few settings without starting from scratch.

By following these steps, you can save, submit for review, or create your coupon based on your role and organizational requirements.

note
  • Read-Only Role: Users with Read-Only access can only view the existing coupons but cannot create, edit, or approve them. This role is suitable for users who need visibility into the offers but don't need to manage them.

  • All Access Role: Users with All Access can create and approve coupons themselves without needing a separate review. They can:

    • Create coupons.
    • Bypass the review process and make the coupon live directly by scheduling it.
    • Edit or update the coupons as needed before making them live.
