SEO Plus

Introduction

On the Fynd Platform, users can easily add SEO meta for products.

The SEO Plus extension is available in the Fynd Platform for bulk updation of SEO meta, allowing users to optimise their product pages for better search engine visibility.

SEO is the process of optimising a website to rank higher in search engine results pages for specific keywords or phrases. Its goal is to increase organic traffic to a website and improve its visibility in search engines.


Steps to use SEO Plus Extension:

  1. To access Fynd Platform Extensions, navigate to the Extensions tab.

  1. Click on the SEO Plus extension.

After installation of this extension, it will be listed and available here.

  1. Select the sales channel in which you would like to enable the 'SEO Plus' extension. 'HK Fashion Hub' is our sample testing channel.

Once you select your preferred sales channel, the ‘SEO Plus’ extension will provide you with the option of ‘SEO Meta’ and other configurable options.

The following section provides a step-by-step guide to set up 'SEO Plus' as an add-on to your sales channel. Read the easy-to-follow steps to get started with SEO Plus:

How to access SEO Meta

Sales Channel > Emerge V2 > SEO Meta

When you choose the SEO Meta section, you'll get the option to configure your SEO Tiles. These tiles include the following sections:

  1. Products Meta
  2. Products Alt Text
  3. Collection Meta
  4. Blogs Meta

1. Products Meta

Here's a simple guide to configure the options in the Products Meta section, just follow these steps:

Step 1 - Download

When you access the download section, you will see two options that you can configure according to your needs. These options are called 'Choose Department' & 'Choose Category', 'Download Data', and 'Upload.' (Refer to Figure 5).

To get started with optimizing your products for SEO, you need to select the department and category that you want to work on. We have selected ‘Shoes’ as our department and ‘Pegasus’ as our category. (Refer to Figure 6)

You have the choice to use "Additional Filters" which allows you to add more departments and categories.

Step 2 - Download Data

To add your brand details, SEO Title, and SEO Description, simply click on the "download data" option and access the file. (Refer to Figure 7).

Now, you can access the excel sheet to easily add all the necessary information for your Product Meta and SEO configuration. We have added our sample data as show in the image below. (Refer to Figure 8).

Step 3 - Upload

Once you have entered all the required information in the Excel sheet, you can proceed to upload it. (Refer to Figure 9).

2. Products Alt Text

You can perform bulk actions on products using the Products Alt Text option.

Here's a simple guide to configure the options in the Products Alt Text section, just follow these steps:

Step 1 - Download

When you access the download section, you will see two options that you can customise according to your needs. These options are called 'Choose Department' & 'Choose Category', 'Download Data', and 'Upload.' (Refer to Figure 5 provided above).

To get started with optimizing your products for SEO, you need to select the department and category that you want to work on. We have selected 'Home & Decor' as our department and 'Tables' as our category. (Refer to Figure 6).

4. Blogs Meta

With Fynd Platform, users can update their SEO meta in bulk and generate optimised SEO automatically for the best performance.


On-Page SEO

The On-Page SEO feature within the extension empowers sellers to enhance their website's search engine visibility and engagement by adding custom content with trending keywords to various commerce pages. This feature includes three main sections: Home Page, Collection, and Products.

How to Access On-Page SEO


`Navigate to Sales Channel > Features > On-Page SEO`

Toggle to activate/deactivate On-Page SEO content. This On-Page configuration includes the following sections:

  • Home Page
  • Collection
  • Products (Coming Soon)

Home Page

Click on the Home Page section to configure SEO content for the Home Page of the storefront. Here's a guide to configuring the options in the Home Page Configuration section:

Home Page Configuration:

Configure the SEO content for your homepage, including the title tag, meta description, and content. Click the "Save" button to apply your changes.

On-Page SEO Content

  • Desktop: Enable the toggle button to show Home-Page SEO content to desktop users.

  • Mobile: Enable the toggle button to show Home-Page SEO content to mobile users.

SEO Content

Add and customise SEO content to view on the Homepage of the storefront.

Keep your content between 250 and 2,000 words.

Background Colour: Set the background colour of the SEO section using the colour code, e.g., #000000.

Choose a background colour that contrasts well with the text, making it easy to read.

Text Colour: Set the text colour using the colour code, e.g., #000000.

Opt for a light text colour that makes the content stand out against the background.

Custom CSS: Click the "Default" button to apply the default CSS style to your SEO content.

Collection

The Collection Configuration feature enables you to add SEO content for specific collection pages on your storefront. This involves fine-tuning the title tag, meta description, and content to suit the unique characteristics of each collection.

Click on the collection section to configure SEO content for active collections on the storefront. Here's a simple guide to configuring content for each collection.

List of Collections:

You can search for a collection by its name and click on it to access the collection configuration page.

Select a collection from the list to configure its SEO content.

On-Page SEO Content

  • Desktop: Enable the toggle button to show Collection SEO content to desktop users.
  • Mobile: Enable the toggle button to show Collection SEO content to mobile users.

Collection Slug:

Add relevant keywords to the collection URL for better SEO and user understanding.

SEO Content

This section allows you to add content that will be visible at the top or bottom of the homepage.
