How to access on Fynd Platform

Introduction

In the earlier sections, you have learnt to create a single product as well as bulk products. Now, what if you wish to update the attributes (e.g. material, colour, weight, etc) of one or more products?

Manually editing the products and changing their attributes is clearly not the solution. Therefore, Fynd Platform has an option of Partial Update. You can upload an Excel or CSV file containing the product details along with the new attribute values.

At a Glance

Primary Identifier-related Attributes:

  • Prices: Actual Price, Selling Price, Currency
  • Volumetric Data: Length, Width, Height, Weight
  • Identifier Data: GTIN Type, GTIN Value
How are these identifier-level attributes?

In e-commerce, each size has a unique product identifier. Different sizes of a product may carry different price tags. Similarly, different sizes of a product may need different packaging. Since all these attribute data depend on the product’s size, the attributes can be partially updated on the platform by including the column Seller Identifier.

Product-related Attributes:

  • Appearance: Colour, Primary Colour, Pattern, Material, Primary Material
  • Customs: HSN Code, Country of Origin
  • Information: Description, Short Description, Highlights...and many more
How are these not identifier-level attributes?

In e-commerce, each size has a unique product identifier. No matter what the size of the product is, attributes such as colour, material, or description still remain the same. Since these attributes do not depend on the product’s size, the attributes can be partially updated on the platform by including columns Item Code and Brand.

info

Include all 3 columns, i.e. Item Code , Brand, and Seller Identifier while updating the data of both, primary identifier-related attributes and product-related attributes in a file.

Attention

While creating a catalogue of set products, for a given size group, you have to repeat the primary identifier in all the cells of Seller Identifiercolumn. You need not repeat the size group in the Size Group column (check the below snapshot).

QG11

(In the older versions, for a given size group, primary identifier was not repeated but size group had to be repeated)
