BodyCafé is a beauty and wellness brand deeply inspired by ancient home remedies (gharelu nuskhe), nature (prakriti), Ayurveda & Healing Aromatherapy. It was founded by two aspiring, talented young ladies, Pooja Karegoudar and Tanushree Ishani D.
How The Journey Started
The founders of BodyCafé realized that most people do not have access to off-the-shelf products that offer them ancient remedies and are price sensitive. Thus, many such people dedicate a ‘self-care Sunday’ to make those combinations at home, which is not sustainable. BodyCafé addresses this directly, by hand-making their products with the quality of age-old remedies and nature’s goodness and giving their users an affordable packed product.
We all are stuck in an endless battle of us versus stress. From the moment we wake up till we're back in our beds, there is a constant simmering of to-do lists. It's only a matter of time before it all boils over. Amidst this manic hustle-bustle of life, the founders realized that people want a healthy lifestyle where all is well. All they need is a little support to help them start investing in themselves. Thus, BodyCafé was born.
The USP of the BodyCafé brand is that they infuse the goodness of healing Aromatherapy in their products ensuring that users feel an overall sense of emotional well-being in addition to experiencing the highest standards of personal grooming. Painstaking research, highest standards of purity, authenticity, quality and ethical sourcing of organic ingredients go into the making of BodyCafé products.
The brand aims to empower the Indian agriculturalists - the REAL GROWERS and strongly focus on the community-grown products of India. For instance, they procure Lakadong Turmeric from Padma Shri awardee Trinity Saioo also known as the Turmeric lady of India who is credited with spearheading the women-led turmeric farming in the North East of India and has empowered over 800 women farmers.
The founders of BodyCafé believe that having an online presence helps them cater to a wider clientele and makes the process of client acquisition much easier. BodyCafé has started with performance marketing and is aiming for a 3-4x growth in the upcoming months. Having listed the brand on Amazon, BodyCafé is planning to get launched across all marketplaces that are relevant to their products. The brand managed to bag a lot of esteemed corporate clients the previous year, and currently, their focus would be to cater to B2B clients more for their corporate gifting options. Thus, they are very excited for the second half of the year and look forward to it.
